Nikki has been with the practice since 2006. Her dedication to patient care and vast knowledge about the optical world is an asset to our daily operation. She is responsible for insurance billing and is also a trained Optician. She has been specialty trained in Hoya Lens Technology and enjoys having a hand in all aspects of our office. You will often see her jumping in to lend help wherever needed. She is often the go-to staff member when special situations arise.
She lives in Brownsburg with her husband and two young daughters. She is an active member of Kingsway Christian Church. She is also involved in the Indy West and Hamilton County Great Banquet community. She loves to read and very much loves hearing our Vision Therapy patients tell her about their love for reading after they have completed their program. She has personal experience with this as her daughter completed a therapy program, and she saw her child go from a below grade level reader to an above grade level reader. She is an advocate for patients that have vision related learning problems, and is often heard battling with an insurance company so a patient can receive treatment.
Steve joined our vision therapy team in 2003. When you enter the Vision Learning Center of Terre Haute, you will be greeted by Steve who will start your visit at our office. He will guide you through your appointment with Dr. Judson from start to finish.
In addiiton, Steve manages Dr. Judson's speaking schedule. If you are wanting Dr. Judson to speak to your group, please contact Steve.
Steve was born and raised in Terre Haute and now resides there with his wife and five children. He is an active member at Maryland Community Church. He enjoys spending time at the baseball fields with his baseball and softball players and is an active board member of the Riley Rec League as well as coach. Steve also enjoys competitive bass fishing, bow hunting, duck hunting, and clay shooting.
Danny joined our vision therapy team in February 2010. He is a U.S. Navy veteran where he served as a hospital corpsman (medic) during the Viet Nam conflict. He then graduated from Indiana State University having received his degree in Life Sciences. He also studied Criminology in a masters level program.
Danny then worked in the criminal/juvenile justice system for 23 years. He served as a juvenile and adult probation officer (6 years as Chief Probation Officer), administrator and counselor in several juvenile residential treatment centers; including Program Coordinator in an adolescent sex offender treatment center for six years.
After ‘retiring’ from these endeavors, he worked several construction related positions, including his own home repair business.
Danny has thoroughly enjoyed working in Vision Therapy and has been truly amazed at the success of many of our patients. His one big regret is not being aware of Vision Therapy and its impact on many children during the time he worked in the juvenile justice system. He truly believes he could have impacted those students much more if he would have had this ‘tool’ available.
